BK Simulator

NOTE: Web build is not recommended for the intended experience. It is still offered to allow playing on otherwise unsupported platforms, however.

The Web build does not work fully, and allows you to slightly "cheat". You are only meant to make progress while the window is in focus, but detecting the browser window's focus doesn't seem to work - so you continue walking even while the window is not focused, as long as the tab is active in it's window. Switching to a different tab in the same window will pause it.

"BK Mode" is a term coined from Multiworld Randomizer communities, representing the state of a randomizer where you cannot make ANY progress until another player sends you an item that allows you to progress. The term was coined after a famous time this happened to someone, and they actually went to grab lunch at BK while they waited.

In this game, you've been put in "BK Mode" in a randomizer, and have to walk to get your lunch. This is designed to be played in an active Archipelago Randomizer multiworld (https://archipelago.gg), and currently does not support standalone play. (The bksim.apworld file is used to interface with Archipelago).

Each time you reach BK to get your lunch, you get an upgrade. This could be better shoes to walk faster, snow boots to be able to trek to BK while it's snowing, or a new BK location being opened closer to your house, so you have less distance to walk - though sometimes it will be just a Plastic Toy instead. The total number of times you need to reach BK is configurable in the randomizer settings, and when playing in a multiworld with other players, your upgrades are shuffled into the item pool- so you may find items for other players when you reach BK, and they may find your upgrades for you in their game(s).

Note: `bksim.apworld` v1.0.1 requires Archipelago v0.6.7 RC1 or higher. If you are using an older version of archipelago, the v0.1.2 .apworld file is still available to use.
